Saw "300" . . . Great movie. Great story, great special effects, great actors. I felt that this movie was very powerful and is what made "Sin City" so great. The casting for this movie was excellent and probably couldn't have been better. Lena Headey was a strong queen and totally what their definition of a Spartan woman was. Gerard Butler made a great king as well as a great leader. If King Leonidus ran our war, I would be honored to serve him overseas. The sword fighting and the battles alone were extraordinary and definitely one of the best fight scenes I have ever seen. The photograph was great along with the color and lack of color working together. I made it even more powerful.

Stardust
I saw the movie "Stardust" last night, and I didn't thing that it was all that bad. It is a good love story with action, comedy, and some nice special effects. Michelle Pfeiffer still looks AMAZING. Sienna Miller is also extremely beautiful (Jude what where you thinking?!?) along with Claire Danes as well. Robert De Niro was one of the best parts if not the best part of the whole movie. He had me rolling! The special effects were very Harry Potterish but added to the draw of the movie. During the previews I saw many other movies of the same type that are on their way to the big screen. I do enjoy them and they look like they might be pretty good, but hopefully they don't go out there and try to be the next Harry.
Back to "Stardust" . . . make sure you take a date and show your other just how much you want to be with them.

Squealers vs. Famous Daves
In search of a good BBQ here in Indianapolis, recently I've been to Squealers Award Winning Barbeque and Famous Dave's Legendary BBQ.
At Squealers, I've enjoyed the Pulled Pork dinner as well as the "Texas Style" Slow Smoked Beef Brisket. When you order, you can have them wet or dry (sauce on them or on the side) and mild, hot or mix. Along with the dinner you get a choice of two sides as well as Fried Biscuits with Apple Butter. The times I have been there, I have order the Bar-B-Que Beans, the Amish Style Cole Slaw, the Sweet Potato and the Loaded Baked Potato.
With the meat there has been more than plenty. It comes in a salad bowl filled to the brim with quite a healthy portion. The Pulled Pork is separated enough so that you don't need a knife and the Beef Brisket falls apart at the touch of a fork. Everything about the two of them just melts in my mouth with every bite. I take them both wet and mix and the flavor is full as well as just enough spice to make me sweat a little. It's hard to choose a favorite between the two, so I just mix it up each time.
Now the sides . . . that's another story. The Fried Biscuits are quite tasty but to me, they just are TO fried (if that's possible) and I just don't enjoy them for that fact. Not to mention you only receive a thimble of Apple Butter, which isn't enough for my liking. Only recently did I become a Cole Slaw fan but theirs just doesn't do it for me. It doesn't have much flavor and doesn't even taste like Cole Slaw. The Bar-B-Que Beans were decent but also not to my liking. For one, there just weren't enough beans; more sauce than anything. The Sweet Potato was just that and perfect. It didn't need anything changed. Just one suggestion . . . ever had Sweet Potato Fries? The Baked Potato was a good soft potato cooked enough to make it easy to tear into, however, I had the Cheese and Bacon added to it, and I have to say that Wendy's does better with theirs. Only a sprinkle of cheese and bacon, not enough for even flavor.
The atmosphere at Squealers feels like a Southern BBQ joint and let's you enjoy the food without distractions. It is however, a bit cold in there and the benches I sat in last, were way to far from the table. Otherwise I enjoy sitting in there and it's easy to have a conversation.
Famous Dave's . . .
A co-worker of mine LOVES this place and had to be there the day it opened. The atmosphere here however, it a lot like a Friday's or Red Robin. Loud, loud, loud! Not only the decorations but the music and the sitting areas as well. A chain restaurant and you can tell.
The times I've been here I've had the St. Louis Style Ribs and the Texas Beef Brisket. Here as well you get choice of two sides as well as a Corn-on-the-Cob and a Corn Bread Muffin. Everything comes already wet and with the sauce of your choice unless otherwise noted.
The Ribs to start were not the best ribs I've ever had. For one they did not have enough meat on them and you actually had to dig in there to get what little meat there was off. At one point I was using a knife and fork. Rib meat should just fall off the bone as soon as you dig in. However, the Brisket was tender and fell apart easily, but that is the only good thing I can say about them. There was not enough meat nor was there enough sauce on them for my enjoyment. I had to add more sauce (which is conveniently located at the table already) and I wasn't full afterwards. They had like 5 pieces of meat on a piece of Texas Toast and left me desiring more. There were several different sauces to choose from but none of them (not even the "Devils Spit") were hot enough for me. They were all really sweet and mild.
On to the sides . . .
The sides were small helpings but the corn and the muffin helped out. I've had the Firecracker Green Beans (w/bacon), Creamy Coleslaw, Wilbur Beans, and the Garlic Red-Skin Mashed Potatoes. Now let me tell you that both time they got my sides wrong and that is the only reason I tried so many of them. The Firecracker Green Beans were interesting but a little to spicy. The Creamy Cole Slaw was good, it's what Cole Slaw is, just maybe a little to creamy. The Wilbur Beans are just BBQ beans and are descent. The Garlic Red-Skin Mashed Potatoes were good. No complaints about those. The Corn-on-the-Cob and the Corn Bread Muffin were the best parts and I wish I had another Muffin.
Overall, I like Squealers the best for two reasons:
1) The amount of food and meat for the price
2) The flavor is so much better
Squealers gets an A- only because of the sides
Famous Dave's gets a B- on lack of food and taste
But please judge for yourself!

Another Item
2 more things I can't wait for! Harry Potter!
I can't wait for the movie or the book! I am so looking forward to both!!!!!
I can't wait for the movie or the book! I am so looking forward to both!!!!!
iPhone
Like most people, I can't wait until the iPhone comes out tomorrow. However, I will be part of the hundreds that won't get to see it for a while as I'm sure they will will be snatched up right away. Also I probably won't get one right away as I have to 1) wait for my contract to be up and 2) I would like to wait until maybe the second version to give them time to work out all the bugs . . . . unless someone wants to give me one for free?!?
Adrianna Costa
Need I really say more? Ok I will . . . So people have been writing me a lot and complaining about Adrianna Costa on "On the Lot". Every now and again I hear something good but 9 out of 10 times it is how horrible of a host she is. I will admit that she is a really really horrible host and yes there are many out there that try to defend her but how much is it just because she's hot?? I mean come on, males and females, how many of you wouldn't sleep with her????
